Asset Management and Investment Funds
Investment Funds Newsletter
November 2025
Our newsletter addresses key developments over recent months impacting the funds industry, including the European Commission’s (“Commission”) proposals to revise the Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation (“SFDR”) to create a new product categorisation regime for EU sustainable funds, the outcome of the European Security and Market Authority’s (“ESMA”) common supervisory action on sustainability disclosures and the Central Bank of Ireland’s consultations to amend its AIF Rulebook and UCITS Regulations in order to transpose AIFMD 2.0 and implement further changes. In further steps to prepare for the application of AIFMD 2.0 in April 2026, we also note that the Commission has adopted the regulatory technical standards on liquidity management tools, supplementing the Alternative Investment Fund Directive and the UCITS Directive and ESMA has published its final report on RTS for loan-originating AIFs.
Our briefing notes linked below provide further detail on these developments.
Your usual Matheson contact or any of the contacts listed in this newsletter would be delighted to discuss any of these developments in further detail with you.
