CASE STUDY
Matheson Transact Pro was utilised for a significant loan file review involving an analysis of over 300 loan files.
After an initial project scoping call the Digital Services Group implemented a custom configuration of the system incorporating AI-assisted document analysis, a project management module, a dashboard featuring visualisation of key review metrics and automated report generation. In addition to this the client required two specific types of review to be carried out over discreet sets of documents. The platform was therefore configured to provide specific metrics in respect of each of these reviews; allowing those managing the project to have up-to-the-minute insight into overall review progress and material issues as they arose.
The review team were able to set up an initial analysis of the documents carried out by our AI Contract Analysis function, and review the results in real time alongside the specific documents within Matheson Transact Pro. Each document was presented to reviewers alongside a review panel that allowed them to comment on specific areas of interest within the documents and also to flag them according to specific categorisations, as necessary.
Automated workflows were central to the success of this project. For example, reviewers were able to raise red flags and key issues in real time and these were fast-tracked to either senior subject matter experts or onto the client for decision making via automatically generated emails and notifications. Tasks in the project management module were automatically generated following specific decisions made during the initial review, and automated reminders and follow-up emails ensured that all tasks were carried out in good time.
Throughout the review process, the client was given access to a dashboard that provided an overall snapshot of project progress through custom visualisations. This ensured the most efficient possible review, with complete control over the resolution of issues and an enhanced client experience.

In a recent project involving the sale of a large loan portfolio our Legal Solutions Consultants worked directly with our client's finance managers to design an enterprise-grade virtual data room service that was tailored to their specific needs, including requests for sophisticated digital and document management controls over third-party access permissions.

CASE STUDY
Following a significant data breach on a Friday evening, our client required an analysis of their contractual obligations as quickly as possible. It was therefore imperative to be able to utilise technology in order to provide an initial snapshot of exposures and obligations. The client identified an initial set of 444 separate documents that required review by a Matheson legal team.
The Digital Service Group were contacted immediately and our Legal Solutions Consultants set up an initial workspace on our AI-based contract review platform. Working directly with our legal teams we were able to configure the system in order to provide specific analysis in respect of data breach provisions, general data protection provisions, limitations, warranties, and a range of other analysis points.
The system worked by applying machine learning to the overall set of documents. This initial set up and AI review phase was completed within around 30 minutes. After that, the documents were assigned to individual Matheson lawyers who were able to hone in on the documents that needed most attention and provide more specific and detailed analysis on those documents that raised more complex issues. Once this second level of review had taken place the system automatically produced a report in respect of all documents that formed the basis of the overall advice to the client.
Within an hour of the initial call from the client, the Matheson legal team had the information required to prepare an initial report on obligations, allowing the client to take the appropriate actions.
