How to use this Guide

Following our commentary and analysis the Summer Horizon Tracker 2024 provides a concise and current guide to legislative and regulatory developments. This is done by relevant practice and subject areas. Each section is divided into parts describing legislation passed since the Horizon Tracker of Spring 2024, Bills which have been prepared and are going through the legislative process, Acts awaiting commencement, national consultations, regulatory initiatives and EU legislation. The table here describes these parts.

Category	Further Information
Irish Legislation Passed since the Matheson Spring 2024 Horizon Tracker	Any bills that have been enacted in the intervening period.
Irish Proposed Legislation	Any relevant Irish proposed legislation which has appeared in legislative programmes over the course of 2023, in Spring 2024 and which is mentioned again in the Summer Legislative Programme of 2024.
Bills	Bills progressing through the Oireachtas.
Acts Awaiting Commencement	Acts which have been passed but which have not yet commenced.
National Consultations	We have mentioned these where they seem particularly significant.
EU Directives Awaiting Implementation (Transposition)	EU Directives waiting to be implemented (transposed) by the Irish legislature.
EU Regulations	EU Regulations (including, in some cases, Regulations awaiting commencement)
EU Draft and Proposed Legislation	Draft legislation that has been adopted by the Commission and has been assigned a procedure number.
EU Consultations	We have mentioned these where they seem particularly significant.
