Ensuring Compliance.
New requirements for the fulfilment of regulatory compliance are a common occurrence. Discover the various ways in which we currently leverage technology to assist our clients with their compliance projects.
Reducing the burden of regulatory compliance projects.
An ever-changing regulatory landscape means our lawyers and their clients will benefit from a suite of tools designed to promote collaboration, drive efficiency, record an audit trail and that regulatory obligations are fulfilled to the letter.
Whether through direct provision of technology or through managed services provided by our experienced Client Solutions team, the Digital Services Group is equipped with the technology and the expertise to assist with a wide range of compliance projects.

Regulatory and Compliance Toolkits.
The modern regulatory framework requires the ability to manage multiple workflows, track and audit compliance and maintain clear communication with a pool of expert advisors while maintaining rigorous adherence to deadlines.
Our toolkits are designed to assist with the navigation of regulatory regimes in a number of ways. Designed by Matheson's Regulatory Advisory team, and developed by our Digital Services Group, these toolkits provide clients with a secure, collaborative means to administrate and record the relevant aspects of regulatory and compliance projects including the Senior Executive Accountability Regime, Individual Accountability Framework and others.
Our systems can be calibrated for a wide range of specific in-house regulatory projects such as restructuring, reporting, licensing projects and risk management. All of our toolkits are built and supported by Legal Technologists within our Digital Services Group.
Regulatory Conversion Services.
An increasingly common feature of regulatory reporting is the requirement that submissions be made by way of the XBRL or XML languages.
For many financial institutions, quarterly and bi-annual returns such as FINREP and PRISM that were previously accepted via Excel, must now be converted into XBRL and validated against the CBI Taxonomies which are updated from time to time.
The Matheson Digital Services Group provide a comprehensive conversion solution directly to Matheson Clients that will convert the Excel templates previously used directly into XML or XBRL and validate the resultant code against the most up-to-date taxonomy.
Data Subject Access Requests.
We work directly with our legal teams to provide the optimal technology solutions for Data Subject Access Requests.
There are a number of possible ways for organisations to deal with a data subject access request once it has been received. All of these place an administrative burden on organisations that can be draining, cumbersome and distracting.
The Digital Services Group at Matheson has worked with our Litigation department to devise a methodology for the quick and transparent review of DSARs that could provide you with significant value in terms of resources deployed, and peace of mind in terms of compliance with regulations.
We can facilitate everything from the most straightforward requests, to complex requests requiring the review of large volumes of data.
Dawn Raids, RFIs and Regulatory Investigations.
When you are working with a regulator to facilitate a review of your data it is important to know that your advisors can ensure swift, efficient, secure and fully compliant management of information, that mitigates potential legal risks.
Our combination of legal expertise, experienced project management and legal technology has been designed so that this is exactly what you get when you instruct Matheson in a matter of this type.
Our methodologies for compliance review projects have been developed over years of successful delivery and focus on maintaining active project management, clear channels of communication and best use of our suite of review technologies.
